From the maker of the Fancy Back Collection (which will be making a resurgence in my summer wardrobe!), comes the new Groove Tank!
Business in the front . . .
Party in the back!
This is an easy-peasy summer staple, my friends. Annndd since George and Ginger is celebrating 15k members, there's a super sale going on. If you catch the pattern this week for the release, it will only be $3.50!
Such a fun detail, amiright? This one was made with a rayon spandex from Sly Fox Fabrics (fabric sponsor for the test). I used the striped brushed poly for the bindings. My normal go-to would have been to do plain black CL for the bindings . . . but I was out and had to improvise. And in the end, I'm so glad I had to use the stripe! I think it really makes it pop!
My next one is this cotton lycra from Sincerely Rylee. This was the last little bit of this awesome fabric. I love florals overlayed on stripes.
You can see, the keyhole is binding, while the rest is banded. Construction is a little quicker that way, but you could totally bind them all if you want.
In the words of Kristi, "apparently I can't do anything without messing with the backs of shirts". Ha!
Next time, I think I'm going to lengthen it and make a dress version . . . or, even better . . . mash it with the Drama Dress! I think everything needs the Drama Dress flared skirt.
I actually had one more made up during testing . . . but it was early on, we changed the binding application, and I hated my fabric, sooo . . . that one has already been cut up and turned into something new. Such is the life of a pattern test piece.
Alright, time to get to your summer sewing, friends! Here are the links one more time:
