Working: Working on getting this house organized! We rearranged this week, I bought some vintage fishing creels that I've been wanting for over a year, and did some serious cleaning. Unfortunately, as I'm sure you know, the cleaning never ends . . . I have yet to put away all the vacation laundry. There's always more to work on ;)
I was also working on some sweet strike offs this week!
Loving: Loving the warm weather we had this week! On Monday, the boys played outside for THREE AND A HALF HOURS, while I simply sat in a lounger and read a book. I read an entire book that day, people. This is huge.
Stressing: I'm stressing about stuff. We have too much stuff. You probably have too much stuff too. I need some serious time to sort through all this stuff and donate what we don't need. Thinking about all of our stuff stresses me out. This is why people do tiny house living.
Growing: Growing my make-up collection . . . I've been obsessed with Lipsense lately, and even went so far as to have a party. Honestly, I've been pretty anti-MLMs most of my life, so the fact that I actually had a party for this is a huge testament to how much I love this product. No sewing photo shoot has been complete without some new Lipsense lately:
Visiting: I got to have super brief visit with my family on Saturday! I woke up at 4:30 in the morning, drove 337 miles by myself to my hometown, visited with my momma, went to a family baby shower, and then drove the 337 miles back home (eta: 9:30 pm). All in one day. On four hours of sleep. I was glad I did it-- we have a pretty small family, so the important gatherings are few and far between and I really wanted to be able to make it to that baby shower. Baby showers seriously warm my heart. It's all about welcoming the new momma into motherhood, celebrating new life, and reminiscing about everyone else's babies. And I especially wanted to make it to this one because we never got to throw her a wedding shower, since they got married so quickly after they got engaged-- so to me, it was also about us reaching out to my cousin's new wife and embracing her too! It might have been my sentimentality, or the four hours of sleep, but I cried seven times that day. About Ashley's sweet little baby belly, about living so far from my family, about the heart-breaking stories on my podcast, about driving all day but not getting to see my dad, about singing along to Walk the Moon lyrics. . . seriously, I was a mess. Haha!
